Buying or adopting a dog, which is the better option?
I want to get a dog…
That’s it! You’ve been thinking about it for a long time and you’ve decided to take on the responsibility of a dog. You’ve considered everything that comes with having a furry friend, you’ve even looked for vets in your neighborhood, and groomers and accessory shops too, but… you have a serious doubt: to buy or adopt a dog
If you are going to buy a dog, we recommend doing so from a breeder.
If you buy a dog from a store, you don't know exactly where it comes from, who its parents are, what its temperament is like... and unfortunately, in some places, dogs still come from other countries in very deplorable conditions.
When you buy a dog from a breeder, they provide you with guarantees, such as the dog being healthy and without problems, in healthy and hygienic conditions. You'll be able to know the temperament of the parents. This ensures that the dog you buy is healthy and won't present behavioral problems in the future. When you buy a dog from a breeder, you'll know it has been with its mother for the first few months of its life, which is absolutely fundamental for the puppy's development.
Always go to a breeder with references and who you trust.

If you are going to adopt a dog, look for a shelter.
Look online for an association, shelter or rescue in your area; they have many dogs waiting for an opportunity and a home.
When you adopt a dog, you save a life, well two to be exact: that of your dog and that of the one who will take its place in the shelter. On the other hand, by adopting a dog, you are giving a second or third chance to a living being who hasn't been lucky, and you are helping an animal, restoring its health, happiness, and trust in humans who once abandoned it.
Finally, adopting a dog is cheaper. The costs of adopting are lower. But to adopt, associations usually have requirements that you must meet, because they need to ensure that the dog you are going to adopt will go to a good family and will not suffer a new abandonment. Ask and talk to the association, they will give you all the information.

TO BUY OR TO ADOPT? THE DECISION IS YOURS.
The final decision to buy or adopt a dog is yours, but if you have doubts, visit adoption centers, shelters, and pounds, and you will be amazed at the number of wonderful dogs waiting for you.
Both options are good; the important thing is NO ABANDONMENT. A dog is not a toy and should not be abandoned; they need a family to give them love and to whom they can give love.
